Study with Pastor Mike Waldrop Rm. 27A 45 minute study with the pastor that has a variety of different discussions. Topics and discussions are led by guest speakers or centered on Christian educational videos or specific Bible studies chosen by the Pastor.
Prayer Shawl Ministry Rm. 32Our prayer shawl ministry is a group of ladies that knit and crochet blankets, shawls, bookmarks and anything you can imagine but once a week they come together to pray over each loop trusting that their finished product will go to someone in need of a prayer shawl. They make several shawls upon request and have many ready made until the right person is in need of the Holy Spirit's spiritual and physical healing is brought to their attention. In addition to each of the makers' prayers, each of the prayer shawls are prayed over by our congregation members upon completion.
DVD Study Group "Exploring the Roots of Religion" Rm. 25This group is doing a 36 week course by Professor John R. Hale (University of Louisville) entitled "Exploring the Roots of Religion." The first 1/2 hour involves watching the video and the second 1/2 hour involves discussion of the contents. The study is ordered by a timeline beginning in 45,000 BC and running through 1450 AD. Professor Hale is not only a professor, but also has 30 years of experience as a well known archeologist. Some of the lecture titles: "Taking Religions Underground in Rome," "Faiths Lost and Found," "Sun and Shadow at Machu Picchu," "Decoding Rituals in Palenque," and "Desert Lines at Nazca."
