Psalm 98:4-5a NIV
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the Lord.
We love making music at Trinity UMC! It is our hope that through the variety of musical styles incorporated into our worship services, everyone will experience God’s holy presence and be moved to seek and serve Him. The following opportunities are available for music ministry:
The Chancel Choir is a community that serves the church through leading hymns for Sunday worship as well as providing special music and offertories throughout the year. Each Christmas and Easter, the choir presents inspiring musical performances. The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings, mid August through June, from 7:30-8:45pm.
This group shares their ministry of music throughout the year during worship and also participates in workshops and festivals. The Hallelujah Ringers rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm, September through mid May, and are directed by Jim Hart.
New Life Praise Team
The New Life Praise Team performs once a month during the 10:45am service. The band performs music from gospel to contemporary and collaborates with the choirs at various times throughout the year. New Life Praise rehearses on Thursday evening from 7:30-9:30, as scheduled by the Director of Music.
Various opportunities for music making are available to our children (ages 3 through grade 6) throughout the academic school year. Contact Charlene Parkinson, Director of Music, to see how your child can become involved in music at Trinity!
We are always looking for singers or instrumentalists who would like to share a special musical selection during one of our worship services. Let us know if you would like to participate.
